Ski / Snowboard Technician  

Description:

Icycle Sports has vacancies for qualified Repair & Service Shop Technicians. Applicants must have the ability to tune skis and snowboards and experience in base and edge repairs is essential. Our Repair & Service Shop uses Wintersteiger equipment. Experience on these machines is preferable. The ability to operate in a fast paced shop dealing with all facets of ski and snowboard repair in an organised and efficient manner is vital.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintenance to customer skis and snowboards
• Mounting and calibrating ski bindings
• Use of Wintersteiger equipment in accordance with strict workplace safety standards
• Customer service including serving at counter
• Sales of spare parts
• Cash handling and balancing
• Maintaining safe and clean workplace at all times
• Keeping proper records on all repairs and maintenance in accordance with company standards
• Maintaining adequate inventory and supplies

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of one year’s prior experience as a Repair & Service Shop Technician
• Ski/snowboard industry experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional attitude
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills
• Time management skills
• Must be approachable, dependable and a strong team player
• Must be able to deal with people of all ages with animation and with patience

Senior Sales Associate:

Qualifications:

• 2 years of retail sales experience, preferably in a bike shop
• Extensive knowledge of bikes, e-bikes, skis, snowboards, parts, gear and accessories
• Strong communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities:

• Perform a wide range of bicycle repairs and maintenance tasks, including tune-ups, wheel truing, and component installations
• Diagnose mechanical issues and provide accurate estimates for repairs for both bikes and e-bikes
• Conduct thorough inspections and ensure all work meets high-quality standards
• Assist customers with technical questions and recommendations for bike maintenance and upgrades
• Help maintain a clean and organized workshop environment

Qualifications:

•  2 years of experience in a professional bike mechanic position
• Extensive knowledge of bike mechanics and repair techniques
